Heaven on Earth Cake – Easy No-Bake Cherry Dessert

Ingredients:
1 store-bought or homemade angel food cake, cut into cubes
1 can cherry pie filling (approx. 21 oz / 540g)
1 package instant vanilla pudding (about 3.5 oz / 100g)
1¾ cups cold milk
1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream)
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Fresh cherries or toasted almonds for garnish (optional)
Instructions – How to Make Heaven on Earth Cake:
Prepare the base: Cut the angel food cake into small cubes. Place half of the cubes in the bottom of a glass dish or trifle bowl.
Add first cherry layer: Spread half of the cherry pie filling evenly over the cake cubes.
Add remaining cake cubes: Place the rest of the cake cubes on top of the cherry layer.
Make the pudding: In a bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix with cold milk and optional vanilla extract until thickened.
Add the pudding layer: Pour the pudding mixture evenly over the cake and cherries.
Top with whipped cream: Spread the whipped topping over the pudding layer.
Finish with cherries: Spoon the remaining cherry pie filling on top. Garnish with fresh cherries or toasted almonds if desired.
