Ingredients:
For the Brownies:
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
For the Frosting:
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
¼ cup milk
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2½ cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Brownies:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch (23×33 cm) baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and cocoa powder until smooth.
Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
Stir in flour and salt. Do not overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs (not fully clean).
2. Make the Frosting (While Brownies Are Still Warm):
In a mixing bowl, beat together butter, milk, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and spreadable.
As soon as the brownies come out of the oven, spread the frosting evenly over the warm brownies.
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan so the frosting can set.
3. Serve & Enjoy:
Once cooled, cut into squares and serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
