Dorito Taco Salad

Dorito Taco Salad is not just a salad – it’s an experience in one plate. Delicious, colorful, and full of textures that satisfy every bite. Try this recipe and be sure to make more – because everyone will be asking for a second helping!

Ingredients:

1 large bag Dorito Nacho Cheese Chips, broken into smaller pieces (not crumbs)

1 pound lean ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning

1 red onion, diced

2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

1 head lettuce, shredded

6 tomatoes, chopped

½ cup Italian dressing

2 cups ranch dressing

 

 

Instructions:

Cook the beef:
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

Season the beef:
Stir in the taco seasoning and a little water (as instructed on the seasoning packet). Let it simmer for a few minutes, then remove from heat and set aside to cool.

Prepare the veggies:
While the beef is cooling, shred the lettuce, dice the red onion, and chop the tomatoes. Set them aside.

Assemble the salad:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and diced onion. Add the cooked ground beef on top of the veggies.

Add the chips and cheese:
Gently fold in the Dorito chips and shredded cheddar cheese to the salad mixture.

Make the dressing:
In a small bowl, mix the Italian dressing and ranch dressing together until well combined.

Serve:
Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.

Serve immediately and enjoy the crunch, creaminess, and flavors all in one bite!
