Garlic Butter Lobster and Scallops

These seared scallops are large sea scallops that are cooked until golden brown and caramelized, then finished off with a garlic butter sauce. A quick and easy dinner option that can be on the table in 20 minutes!

Ingredients:

2 lobster tails, peeled and deveined

12 scallops, cleaned

3 tbsp butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 tsp paprika

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

Prep the Seafood:

If not already done, peel and devein the lobster tails, cutting them lengthwise to expose the meat. Pat the lobster and scallops dry with a paper towel.

Cook the Lobster and Scallops:

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the lobster tails and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until the meat is opaque and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the scallops and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

In the same skillet, melt another tablespoon of butter if needed. Add paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and simmer for 1 minute.

Combine and Serve:

Return the lobster and scallops to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic butter sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, until everything is evenly coated and heated through.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Enjoy!
