Sausage & Cheese Biscuit Breakfast Sliders
These Sausage & Cheese Biscuit Breakfast Sliders feature golden, flaky biscuits filled with seasoned breakfast sausage and melted cheddar cheese. The biscuits are baked until lightly browned on top, then layered with savory sausage and creamy melted cheese, creating a warm and satisfying handheld breakfast.
The cheese melts between the biscuit halves and slightly overflows the edges, while the sausage remains juicy and flavorful. This recipe uses simple ingredients and classic baking techniques to create a comforting breakfast or brunch option.
Ingredients
For the Biscuits
-
2½ cups all-purpose flour
-
1 tablespoon baking powder

1 cup whole milk

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
For the Sausage Filling
-
1 lb breakfast sausage (ground)
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
½ teaspoon garlic powder
For Assembly
-
6–8 slices cheddar cheese (or additional shredded cheddar)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage, breaking it apart until fully browned and cooked through.
Season lightly with black pepper and garlic powder.
Drain excess grease and set aside.
Step 2: Make the Biscuit Dough
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in cold butter using a pastry cutter or fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in milk and shredded cheddar cheese until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.
Step 3: Shape and Bake the Biscuits
Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat to about ¾-inch thickness.
Cut into round biscuits and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
Remove and let cool slightly.
Step 4: Assemble the Sliders
Slice each biscuit in half horizontally.
Place a spoonful of cooked sausage on the bottom half.
Add a slice or sprinkle of cheddar cheese on top.
Place the top biscuit half over the filling.
