Ingredients

For the crust

  • 1 pre-made tart crust (round, 23 cm / 9 inch)

For the filling

  • 200 g bacon, chopped into small pieces

  • 150 g grated cheddar cheese

  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk and cream. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Add the grated cheddar and cooked bacon (and onion if used) to the mixture.

  5. Pour the filling over the pre-baked crust and bake for 35–40 minutes, until golden on top and set in the middle.
